Library Enrichment Program
Yorkshire Academy is a school of readers! It’s wonderful to hear students greet each other at the lockers in the morning and talk about the books they are reading. Whether it’s discussing Harry Potter or Nate the Great, the love of literature is evident in every grade.
Preschool through upper elementary students love to visit the library. Upon reaching Pre-K, students are allowed to check out books. Students are read to beginning at 18 months and all through their Yorkshire years. Critical thinking and listening skills, as well as vocabulary building are reasons to continue to read to older children.
